The silver-and-blue paint scheme that has been applied to the Genesis locomotives, as well as some other types, is generally called the 'Phase V' scheme. It's based on the scheme applied to the Acela equipment. (And personally, I can't stand it!)The latest paint scheme on the cars has come to be called 'Phase IVb' by most people, because it is basically an updated version of the 'Phase IV' scheme with the blue main stripe plus red and white pinstripes. As I recall, one of the problems with express/mail service was the switching involved when departing or arriving. This was often associated with delays, so that may have been part of the reason for discontinuing it. But I haven't exactly studied the issue, so I'm not sure what to really say about it.Alex Stroshane http://www.trainweb.org/asamtrak911
