Mta To Restore C Service Only A Week After Fire! – image 1

First guess: 5 years
Next guess: 6 months
Answer: February 2nd
At 5:00AM EST 2/2/05, C trains will resume service between 168th Street in Washington Heights and Euclid Avenue in Brooklyn.
V service will be cut back to it's normal terminal at 2nd Avenue on the Lower East Side.
Service should be back to 100% capacity within a few months.

I think it was all the media saying 5 years. The MTA said 6-9 months, but we all know MTA stands for Money Thrown Away . The thing is, we won't see full service for another 6 months, but they've decided to run the C after all: they were already running the A that way over the weekend.
