Feather River Closed – image 1

For those of you who have not heard yet, the FRC is closed due to a slide. It was reopened today for a few trains, but I heard another slide reclosed it. Timetable is supposedly for around New Years now.

RE: Feather River Closed

Yeah, I heard about the slide over the weekend, sounded like it was a biggy. Trains are being redirected over Donner. There have also been reports of manned older SP tunnelmotor helpers being assigned to the hill.

Yeah they were having manned helpers, first time in a few years. As far as the engines they were using I am not sure because I have been in firemans class for over 3 weeks.Regards,
