Hi all,Most of my schedule compilation for NEC V4 is nearly ready for upload, I've just NS portion left to do.What trackage (or trackage rights) does NS own, portrayed in the sim, and if so, what type of traffic would be on the routes? Thanks so much,Thomas

RE: NS Freight on NEC

NS runs on the Amtrak trackage from DC up to Perryville Md. From there, they take the "Port Road" to Harrisburg, Pa. There is a wye at Perryville, and tracks extend a few miles out from the wye. That is the NS line. They run a few intermodels here and there. NS does not run on the CSX portion.CSX also runs on the Amtrak portion, loaded coal trains up to Bowie, and then south on the branch line to the southern Maryland power plants. This is normally done at about 3am. Whenever I am in Bowie visiting family, like clockwork, you hear the horns at around 3am. They also return with empties, but sometimes they will store empties on a siding just south of the NEC.Chris Bogley

RE: NS Freight on NEC

Anywhere on the NS system really, but most likely, Atlanta. There was talk last year about having NS run trains from DC to Trenton NJ on the Amtrak portion (Actually would be Atlanta to Trenton Intermodel) and they even ran a few test trains last year, but I don't recall if they actually ever started running them or not.Chris Bogley
