Well there are many patched UP/SP or UP/SSW units out there but you won't find these engines with UP patches. Today these 2 engines were sitting back to back at the DGNO yard in Colleyville, Texas, along with CNW 6931. So if anybody is interested thats where they are. And yes luckily they were clean and I had a camera. Yes, lets see pictures. I have seen a few unpatched SD45s in central Texas but the only unpatched tunnel motor I have see was 8268. Do you know if they are going on the road anytime soon? SP SD45 #9486 & SP Tunnel Motor #9373 – image 5

Okay here are the pics.Brian-There lines go as far to the east as Greenville, TX, North Sherman, TX, South Dallas, & West Irving. Most of their power is kept in the yards at Dallas and at Colleyville. At Colleyville they have an interchange w/ the BNSF ex-Frisco. Theres a nice little parking lot there at Sedar's Supply Co. to just sit and watch trains...if they ever move. Heres a map to help http://www.railamerica.com/railmaps/DGNO.htmAll these photos are copyrighted by Matt Martin.-MattATSF GP60M #104 works on the local in Flagstaff, AZ. www.atsfrr.com Please attend the up coming convention in Pasadena, California.

I think the reason that they are unpatched is because they are leased from CEFX. CEFX...CIT Group/Capital Finance Inc.Greg Zoll

"Q393 east on 2, clear 77.9."
Five seconds later:
"Dang it! West on one out!"

Thanks for those fine pics, Matt. It's getting harder and harder to find unspoiled , er, I mean unPATCHED SP/SSW units anymore.

ehhhh sorry to burst your bubbles, but look at the nose. Small CEFX patch. Course, that would be easy to edit out. Edit out the patch, turn it Black and White, and you got a photo from when SP was king

Hey Danny, it'll be there just don't know if it will still be in SP Colors. There is a Chessie Caboose as well next to the BNSF not far from there. At the yard they also have a Georgia Southwestern unit, ex-NS High Hood GP, CNW SD40-2, SP Stuff, 5 or 6 SW1500's (I think they are), ex-CSX SD45-2, HLCX SD45-2, DGNO SD20, DGNO GP38's, & Indiana & Ohio GP38's.-MattATSF GP60M #104 works on the local in Flagstaff, AZ. www.atsfrr.com Please attend the up coming convention in Pasadena, California.

Sweet! Thanks man. I'll swing by the yard when I get back to see if they are all still there. I especially need pics of an SD45-2... for reasons I won't yet reveal. =|GoldenPig
