The track was back in place....several cars remain which I imagine will stay there for some time. I did get a photo of the work train but none of the accident site. I could not find a good photo taking spot - plus the weather was not the best (as I'm sure you know) today.I did see 1 of the cars on the train that derailed on a siding with several of the cars that did not derail on the end on a siding as well. The first train came through this afternoon around 3PM - lead by 2UP and 1SP AC4400CW - another coal train. Hopefully the sun will be out tomorrow - I will look forward to seeing your photos.
Michael, Yes that pic you took of the coal car on the siding was in smyrna right? My dad is a manager at Team Chevrolet there in smyrna. When I worked for him this summer I kept a scanner with me and whenever the defect detectors goes off I could snap some shots.Ill try to find some of my pics from this summer and try to post a few for you.I have a bunch of pics from the local that runs from radnor yard to murfreesboro and back.I made quite good friends with this crew considering they saw me every other day out there taking pics. Thanks for the news and pics and maybe one day ill catch up with you and might do a little railfanning.P.S you ever get out on a road trip a good place to do some railfanning is in Cowan TN.They have a helper grade there and plus you can get trackside because the railroad museum there. Josh
Michael, you (and others who followed the hotlink you posted to wsmv.com) might be interested to know that this site has infected your computer by downloading and installing spyware. The site installs spyware from Avenue A Inc.You might be more careful in the future about checking out a site before posting a hotlink to a site that installs malicious content on a users system without permission. Here is a screenshot I took when SpyBot blocked their attempt to install the crap on my system.I would suggest to all that visited the site you posted that some house cleaning is needed as your system is now infected. Have fun.

Interesting....this is one of our local TV sites so I would have thought it to be a trusted site.I visit the site on a regular basis and never had a problem. I did run a virus scan and did not find anything related to the spyware you mentioned. My apologies to all and hope this did not happen to others.Michael
Vince , the 'avenue inc' bot is a common occurance on many sites, inluding hotmail etc, its rating is a very low category bot, nothing major, as opposed to some of the other stuff out there. just a quick cleanup with adaware, spybot s&d, will remove it easily.I use Adaware pro, with the resident Ad Watch, and window washer, both do a great job of cleaning up and highly reccomended.Marko
Yes, it was my resident Spybot that caught this. I have it set up to notify me anytime a site tries to slip in undetected. You would be suprised how many "legitimate" sites try to install spyware to a users system. Low threat category or whatever I refuse to allow software to be installed unless I specifically ask for it.
