Feb-09-02, 02:45 PM (EST) "old train-sim" has anyone still have an old train-sim around 1983?
and which is still playable on a pentium 2?
it was a game where you had to transport trains from one place to an other and it was black/white.
the trackchanges were given letters and the trains numbers
does anyone has something lik that?
please mail me at:

"RE: old train-sim" ahh i remmeber A train, i think it was that interplay game. it was out around the time sim city on cd rom with enhanced features was out. those old old games have lots of truble running on todays sytems. i was playin doom and quake on my 800mhz celeron and they ran so fast it was impossible to do anything. it was as if they sped up time a few hundred times.

>Visit My Aviation Photo Gallery I remember A-Train very well. I still have it on disk. It wasn't in black and white but in color. I think that might be the program which started me in Sims. If it would run on my system I'd put it back on today, but would prolly run so fast I couldn't keep up with it. heheMessage Areas - "old train-sim" – image 4res07bqx@verizon.net Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-10-02, 00:47 AM (EST) 4. "RE: old train-sim" I remember a game I had on my Commodore 64 back in about 1988 when I was 17. It gave a cabview of an English steam locomotive, and the task was to drive from London to Brighton (if my memory serves me correct). It was given to my dad by a fellow in the local rail union (AFULE) when Dad did a workplace study of the stresses that rail people go through (which is another story in itself - plenty of stories there, good and bad). The game was alot of fun, looked great for the time and immensely playable.Matt Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
