I traced these units one night for the heck of it and I noticed that the UP 5699 and UP 5697 were headed towards Pine Bluff. The timing was just right and as I went to work I found them both. The 5699 was buried with some more units while the 5697 was by the road. i got several shots of the 5697 and took a bit of video to hear the engine idling. Didnt sound too much different than a regular C44AC. But I have never heard them under load. The BNSF GEVO I saw I could barely hear because the SD70MAC drowned it out. This is the best shot I took of it.

ErikDo the UP ones alos have have the computer screen on your side? That is one nice feature about the GE's. Its nice to see what the engineer is up to.

Well they used to. I think when they stop working on the engineer's side they pull the one from my side and replace his. Giving me a speedo.
