Question to Aussie train fans – image 1

GM12's your thinking of? They are 567 powered 1800 hp locos very similar to the North American E8's. The GM1 Class had C trucks, where as the GM12 Class had A1A trucks. I bet your thinking of GM12's, with 4 powered axles . They still had 6 axles all up though. 2 unpowered, 4 powered.CLP12?? Thats nothing like a GM...well...perhaps the cab, but the CLP's were remanufactured in 1993 from old "CL Class" locos and fitted out with Head End Power (HEP). Hence the P in CLP. Apart from the cab, they are actually more like a SDFP40-2.Now, MSTS...James Brooks has done many outstanding Australian "Bulldog" locos, including the GM's can be found here..http://www.railpage.org.au/vr/msts.php?view=locomotives>Mike Forster<
