RE: Best of the FZ10,

Excellant pictures, Brian! Thanks for sharing them with us.In your post, though, you made a comment that you'd discuss why you chose not to go with the Canon Rebel. I'd very much like to hear your reasons as I'm going to buy a digital camera this coming year and that was the one I had selected, mainly as I have close to $600 tied up in Canon lenses for my EOS ELAN II.Would you be willing to expound on this topic a bit? Many thanks -Larry Steiner

RE: Best of the FZ10,

Thanks, Brian,You had me scared there for a minute. I don't feel so bad now!!Sounds like you have a really nice camera. The picture quality is excellent and you can't possibly go wrong with Leica lenses. I have a Canon SLR outfit with several Canon auto focus lenses, which is the main reason I chose the Rebel. It's operation is very similar to my EOS ELAN and I figured it would save me from having to learn how to operate it from scratch all over again. Like you say, though, the $$$ is a bit steep, which is one major drawback against it. But still, the ability of being able to have lenses that will go from 28mm all the way up to 300mm is definitely a bonus, especially when you consider all my accessories will work on it as well (auto flash unit, lens filters & hoods, etc)Anyway Brian, I hope you have fun with your new toy and best of luck to you. And we won't be upset one bit if you keep the pictures coming!!! Take care -Larry Steiner
