Jan-30-02, 04:37 PM (EST) "TNT2 M64 Video Card" I know this has nothing to do with Train Sim but i cant get any answers from the company
I have a AMD K6 333 mhz machine and i am trying to update my videocard from a 4 mb to a TNT2 M64 32MB video card
I have tried all the drivers, but it locks up a lot. Also when i play games in Direct 3d mode the sound does not sound right. It sounds a little choppy and not clear. I have a creative sound blaster 16 plug and play. can anyone who has solved this problem help me. I have been trying for several months now

"RE: TNT2 M64 Video Card" I used to have an nVidia TNT2 M64 - and MSTS ran fine, albeit rather sluggishly, and was actually more stable than with my new GeForce2 Ti!I found the latest drivers don't work too well with the good old TNT2s (new drivers designed for the GeForce family); especially with first person shooters, I got much better performance and stability from earlier drivers.AFAIK, you need to reinstall DirectX every time you change your drivers - which might explain the instability with both your graphics and sound.Failing that - I'm not sure if your K6 333 MHz processor can hack MSTS. My old TNT2 now resides in an AMD K6-2 500MHz with 64MB PC100 SDRAM, and despite the (relative to the system) perfectly adequate graphics power, that machine stills struggles with MSTS...
