Jan-26-02, 07:09 PM (EST) "New Survey. So Shoot me okay!" Yes another survey. First Question who would like to see the Denver and Rio Grande Western Narrow Gauge routes produced, wheather in the 1950's or today. Second when you watch movies and t.v. shows with trains, which is your favorite (yes you can say The Simpsons).

Jan-27-02, 11:24 AM (EST) 1. "RE: New Survey. So Shoot me okay!" Is this survey going to benefit the MSTS community???? as I don't think so I'll leave those that aren't playing or contributing to the game to inform you.
BTW have you thought that maybe people are so bored with your surveys that they are feeding you garbage....in which case you'd have to redo the surveys again..????

Feb-03-02, 10:34 PM (EST) 3. "RE: New Survey. So Shoot me okay!" Rio grande dude! Please ignore the previous 2 posts.I can answer the second question.I have about 30 videos by Pentrex from which i watch trains on my tv!Their about 2 hours long,so i get my fill, when i have that urge to watch trains. My house is about 500 yards away from the NS main-line and CN,so I see em' all day long. There isn't a whole lot of movies that feature trains in them that i've seen.I can think of a couple...Under siege 2 with Steven Segul,Runaway train. As far as your first question...well,just not interested in that kinda thing(no offense). Feb-05-02, 01:46 AM (EST) 5. "RE: New Survey. So Shoot me okay!" Hey RGD!Don't worry about criticism, this is a biiiiiig group, and people who don't want to answer your questions don't have to. Who knows, they could even contribute something themselves, if they thought other messages were boring... As to the survey, being an Aussie, my interests are more local, although I do have a soft spot for the Milwaukee Electic interurban system, and GG-1s are a big favourite. Other than seeing the name in various western movies I watched as a kid, I don't know much about the Rio Grande. As to your second question, I enjoyed some old movies that had trains 'in the background' such as 'How the west was won' and many others. I have a few railfan videos, mainly tramways and electric traction, and yes, I do enjoy the simpsons!Keep smiling,

Feb-05-02, 03:18 AM (EST) 6. "RE: New Survey. So Shoot me okay!" Too the somewhat shortsighted person whom wrote the first 2 replies.....you may be somewhat right...when I posted a "survey" asking people what types of activities they would like to see made and what era's, Roadnames (using add-ons of course) and what routes theyd like to see activities done for,...I didnt get the response I thought I would.....but to your Opinion of surveys being useless....your very much mistaken my friend....unless your satisfied with the default routes, activities and rolling stock in msts then go ahead and ignore all surveys for most add-ons designers generally make add-0ns that suit their own tastes, so when an add-on maker is generouse enough to produce something for the masses or put more simply...to take requests...then I should think that folks should be delighted to respond with their wishes especially if they lack the ability to produce add-ons themselves....and many of us do and would appreciate your not discouraging those generous enough to do so...........just my honest opionon taken in a mental survey.....!!!!!Dont look a gift horse in the mouth!!!!.....LOLLonghairedwizard Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Feb-05-02, 06:58 PM (EST) 7. "RE: New Survey. So Shoot me okay!" 1. Yes, specifically the Durango and Silverton and the Cumbres and Toltec (touristy, i know, but so far the only narrow guage i've ever ridden).2. Silver Streak. Fun, lots of train shots, GREAT wreck at the end! And of course, Runaway Train. I also like Disaster on the Coastliner, but that is because i am an AmNut. Now on the flipside, the one i thought was the absolute WORST was the made-for-TV movie Atomic Train. An insult to railfans everywhere, IMHO.------ BUZZ ------
