Jan-25-02, 03:37 PM (EST) "Nvidia 23.11 Driver Problem" I dowloaded the updated NVIDIA 23.11 drivers and it appears that my framerate has improved. However, my mouse is slow and jerky at the MSTS menus. I have not experienced any other problems with the mouse in other applications. I use End It All before running MSTS to get the system resources up to 91%.Has anyone else experienced this problem? If so, what suggestions do you have to solve it other than reinstall the old drivers.Windows 98SE
Pentium 3 - 750 mhz
384 megs RAM
Over 9 gigs hard drive open
Geforce 2 Pro video card 64MB RAM DDRThanks,

If it is a Logitech mouse, they use software called Mouseware to control the functionality of the mouse. If your using Enditall to free resources, you could be removing the mouse software from memory also, resulting in the mouse seeming un-responsive. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-25-02, 05:50 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Nvidia 23.11 Driver Problem" I was not happy with the 23.11 drivers. I am back with the 21.81 drivers. 21.81 seems to be more stable on my system.Derek EngMod@leder.com.au Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-25-02, 09:57 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Nvidia 23.11 Driver Problem" Ummm... interesting... funny thing. I upgraded to 23.11 and never really saw any great change and maybe even some regressing. I may go this route too. Thanks for the heads up.Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-26-02, 06:42 PM (EST) 5. "RE: Nvidia 23.11 Driver Problem" I double-checked everything including ensuring that mswheel is still working and running mprofile. It seems to me to be this driver version is the issue for my PC. You may be right about going back to the older driver. Thanks everyone,

Jan-27-02, 06:50 PM (EST) 7. "RE: Nvidia 23.11 Driver Problem" Good point and great homework! Unfortunately this was not the problem for me. I've been running at 1024x758x16 since last May with no mouse issues until this particular update. Got to be something about MSTS and this version of driver. Thanks!Ches-C Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I've been running the 23.11 driver with Windows XP since Nvidia released the driver with no problems anywhere, infact it has been more stable than earlier versions on my system. When it comes to video drivers, different systems do react differently to the same driver versions. This is why it's a good idea to try a few differnet versions to see which works best with your system.A good site to check for Nvidia drivers is www.reactorcritical.com

Jan-28-02, 08:36 AM (EST) 9. "RE: Nvidia 23.11 Driver Problem" Your right about the same driver impacts each system differently! It's strange that my mouse problem shows up only with MSTS and with no other program or game. Anyhow, when I reinstalled NVIDIA version 21.83 my problem with MSTS went away. Thanks!Ches-C Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-29-02, 09:30 AM (EST) 11. "RE: Nvidia 23.11 Driver Problem" I'm using the 23.11 drivers with XP also and a GeForce 3... I have no problems with them under MSTS but under FS2002 in the cabviews (er: cockpit views) I get the LWMD (Little White Mouse Droppings) all over my screen when I move the mouse.....------Chuck Schneider---------
