RE: Routes For Norfolk Southern

How is the East River route? That's one I am thinking about getting. Does the scenery look finished and have you found bugs?

Hi Steve,
I usually run NS on Lehigh Valley V2. It is an excellent route with lots of opportunity to service all types of industry.

RE: Routes For Norfolk Southern

I just read this post and started downloading the East River Route as I type. After doing the search on the File Library for the East River Route I found this activities listed below:MSTS Activity--Norfolk Southern 930(ns930.zip)
MSTS Bluefield Extra Board Summer Version(sed_1.zip)
MSTS Activity--Bluefield Extra Board Summer(sed.zip)
MSTS Bluefield Extra Board Summer Version(feed.zip)
Now I ask what equipment/files do I need for this activities or are they included with the East River Route download?

RE: Routes For Norfolk Southern

Santa Fe Marceline Subdivision includes about 100 miles of NS from Kansas City to Brunswick, Missouri (including joint triple track with ATSF from CA Jct. to WB Jct.). Will soon have NS extended east to Moberly, Mo.GM&O Northern Lines includes NS (Wabash) from Springfield, Ill. to Jacksonville, Ill. (40 miles), Clark, Mo. to Benton City, Mo. (40 miles) paralleling GM&O, and Lenox, Ill. to E. St. Louis, Ill. (20 miles). Will eventually include Wabash from Moberly to St. Louis.Note that with respect to NS/NW/Wabash these two routes are intended to compliment each other. At some point I may do a spin-off from both to create an NS/NW/Wabash-only (more or less) route KC to St. Louis and Decatur....JBD

RE: Routes For Norfolk Southern

Maybe, but how many patches does it take it to work? You really should start from scratch on both routes you have done as far as uploads are concerned. It is a shame that maybe a half decent route is ruined by having to keep downloading patches to get it to work. Get a couple of beta testers to try it out before you upload anyting.

LAST EDITED ON Jul-17-04 AT 05:43 PM (EST)

I made a post two days ago about a pending cumulative route release which will eliminate all previous files and leave only one set of files for the GM&O route.ATSFMAR has had NO revisions released since version 1.0 and no other files prior to that should be left in the file library however I WILL check to make sure that this IS the case!JD
