Take a video recorder out and go video tape some and then make a consist. If you want to see what is in them then look the weight of the vehicle up and figure up the weight for each car and ajust the .wag file and you will have a realistic one.
FWIW you should do a forum search as this information has been posted on here at least twice that I know of...Not trying to be a pr*ck but if no one makes you learn the forum search tools you never will....Try your question again after you've tried the search tool and if you still have problems....Chuck Schneider Chief Cook, Bottle Washer and (Virtual) CEO

There are two issues of Model Railroader with AutoTrain info...December 1974 "A Railroad service you can model" January 1975 "Autotrain interiors"I have both and can provide some info...At the time of the article the consist was 39 cars (big for a passenger by any standards). Auto carriers first, dome coaches, food service cars, a night club car, another set of dome coaches, and then the sleepers. The last car in the consist in eother direction is usually the heater car unless a business car is present, in which case the heater is moved between the auto carriers and the first set of coaches. The heater car is required because there are no steam lines on the auto carriers, so even if the locomotives were heater equipped, it couldn't be connected.Head end power was two GE U36B deisels for east coast trains, three for mid west trains in 1974.Hope that's some help.Frank MusickMoving America into the 19th Century! www.kelticsylk.com

RE: Autotrain Consists
Auto Train can run up to 48 total cars, 19 of which are passenger cars (HEP limit). 2 Genisis diesels (either P40 or P42, sometimes one of each). 1 coach class diner 3 coaches another diner 3 coaches another diner 1 lounge car a couple of sleepers the first class diner then 3 or 4 more sleepers (one of which is usually an all deluxe bedroom car, either the W. Graham Claytor, or the A. Phillip Randolph) 8 or 10 tri-level racks, then 7 or 8 bi-levelsI can tell you that the sleepers are always on the North end of the train, and the auto racks are always on the rear.Cheers, Larry
