Jan-22-02, 08:28 PM (EST) "Trouble with the file library." I tried to download several addons from the file library, only to see the following: The page cannot be displayed
The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be experiencing technical difficulties, or you may need to adjust your browser settings. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------Please try the following:Click the Refresh button, or try again later. If you typed the page address in the Address bar, make sure that it is spelled correctly. To check your connection settings, click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Connections tab, click Settings. The settings should match those provided by your local area network (LAN) administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).
If your Network Administrator has enabled it, Microsoft Windows can examine your network and automatically discover network connection settings.
If you would like Windows to try and discover them,
click Detect Network Settings
Some sites require 128-bit connection security. Click the Help menu and then click About Internet Explorer to determine what strength security you have installed.
If you are trying to reach a secure site, make sure your Security settings can support it. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0.
Click the Back button to try another link. Cannot find server or DNS Error
Internet Explorer I've never had any such problems before, and I haven't changed any settings anywhere since my last download from the file labrary. Has anyone experienced the same? Is there any solution? I'd sure hate to miss up on all the good stuff. Now, I also noticed that right clicks have been disabled. I wonder if Nels could make the download copyright notice page pop up in a new window, now that we can't use the "open in new window" command on right-click./Tom Andresen Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-23-02, 08:29 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Trouble with the file library." Well, just tried again, haven't done or changed a thing, and downloading works fine now. The no-right-click popup is still there, though. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-24-02, 03:15 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Trouble with the file library." Just for future reference, I will sometimes get that error if I right click on the link and then select 'Open in new window'. If I go back and just click on the link with the mouse, the page will display.kwk100 Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
