Hello, I am brand new to posting here although I have been looking over CPR_Malice_96th's shoulders for the last few weeks.A bit about myself ... I knew and cared nothing about trains 'till I met Tim last year while his band was playing in a bar in the little town where I work in the town of Carman Manitoba. The bar he plays at is an old train station converted into a hotel / bar. The tracks are still right out the front entrance. This is the only workplace where when you leave you have to look both ways for trains first. What interested me in Tim was the fact I remember starting work the first time he played out there and there was a train going by 4 feet from where they were eating.Well everyone was whining about how loud the horn was & how their beers were spilling all over the table from the rumbling of the train.Next thing I know ( and in about 2 seconds flat ) Tim managed to put his beer down - slides out his chair frantically - and runs out the front door to get a closer look. How close does one need to be exactly? With him running out the door it instantly removed any possibility of him being "normal." Or what I thought was normal at the time.I am not quite sure how I ended up liking the guy with the weird hobby? But that's another story.Well, it's been a year and a half and Tim still likes to tell me what type of engines are pulling the trains. He seems more than amused to talk to me about trains and I can tell he is very sincere in his love for this hobby.
For the most part I remember the trains up here in Canada as " The Black ones & The Red ones. " As for the numbers he says they are, I will never remember but 40 & 70 are both numbers he uses alot.Well, I just wanted to say a quick " hello " to all of Tim's friends that he is very insistent on seeing before we do anything. He gets home from work - Checks this site
He gets home from practice - Checks this site
He gets home from a gig - Checks this siteI actually would have thought there were only a few " Tim's " in this world that enjoy trains. Obviously I was wrong. There are alot of you here, and I would imagine there are many more sites like this.I can't say whether I'll post often as this is the only computer I have access to and I am only here when Tim's band is off. Oddly enough the band is off, but he's out with Shelly his singer. Does that not sound weird to anyone else besides me? Well, I guess I'll go watch a movie or something. It was nice to "meet" all of you and I hope you all keep yourselves as entertained as you all seem to keep him. Tim for the most part can't tell you what's going on in the world, but he knows what's going on here.Night all.PS: I do have one issue. Bedtime is bedtime. If you guys would all stop replying to his posts he may come to bed BEFORE I fall asleep once in awhile. Ignore him after 10PM please.
