Hey all- saw an unpatched, speed lettered SP B23-7 or something of the sort, a 4 axle snub nosed GE riding on the floating bolster trucks. saw it form mannheim road in the engine ready track with a mess of UP stuff. Sorry, didnt catch the number nor did i have a camera (prolly why i saw it). Just thought it was awesome to see an old GE in SP speed lettering and unpatched. Guess theres still some old GE floating around out there. A nice sight for sure!Kevin V. -President/CEO of Illinois Northern Ry Inc, subsidiary of The Midwest Regional Railways Corp.
Ohio Southern is on the way...coming when I get sick of the IN!
Actually according to espee.railfan.net there were b23-7's that were speed lettered.. they just didnt have any pics of them. So it could be so that they were speed lettered.. I put a lot of trust in this page.http://espee.railfan.net/spb23-7.html (my Espee Modelers Archive, the best SP page anywhere)Jonny Beck
