Jan-20-02, 06:40 PM (EST) "Figures on model train layouts" Do anyone know how to attach figures to model train layout so that they don't fall down yet be removed from layout without leaving behind glue spots? One book on model train layouts said to use tacky glue. Jeffrey. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Figures on model train layouts" If you happen to have used foamboard for your terrain, then you can drill a tiny hole with a microbit in the foot/leg of the figure....glue in a short piece of wire and just insert the figure where-ever. You will be able to move the layout without the figure falling out or over and you'll be able to easily remove it without damage to the layout. If you didnt use foam, this may still work depending on how hard the materials are where you plan to put the figure.Longhairedwizard Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-21-02, 10:32 AM (EST) 5. "RE: Figures on model train layouts" Heya Bill, have you actually worked with foamboard? I'm planning on ripping up my old nscale set here and try using foam. I've got some concerns about this though. Like to ask some questions if you have. Thanks!Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

In case you're interested, I'm using foam on the N scale layout I'm currently building. It represents a portion of the Burlington Northern (before BNSF) in the Mississippi River Valley. Any questions, shoot and I'll try to answer. Oh, by the way, this is my third layout built using this method. (they just keep getting bigger -- basement of my own, now ... hehehe)-Ray Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
