Canonsburg Departures added to Train Rides this August
_to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum _Washington, PA:_ For the first time in 50 years, excursion trains will be using the Canonsburg Train Station._ Saturday August 7th will see a trains leaving at 10:30am and 3:00 pm over Pittsburgh & Ohio Central RR to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum._ At the Museum, passengers will transfer to trolley cars and be taken to the new display buildings at the Washington County Fairgrounds where they will be treated to a lunch_ (10:30 train) or a dinner buffet (3:00pm train)._ The 3:00 pm train will return to Canonsburg by 6:30pm so riders can experience a concert in the Canonsburg Borough Building’s parking lot. There will also be excursion trains leaving East Main Street in Carnegie on August 8, 14, and 15._ These trains will run over a former Pennsylvania Railroad branch that winds along the Chartiers Creek valley. This line does not have regular passenger service and has been freight only since the 1950’s. All excursions will take you to the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum and Washington County Fairgrounds in Washington PA.__ The trains on the 14th and 15th will be while the Fair is going on!
