FP45 #97, currently residing in the Age of Steam Railroad Museum, will be doing running tests sometime in the next few weeks! The museum has ordered and is getting ready to put in a new turbo charger so it can run! After they do the tests, they will paint it into #107 and put it in the black Santa Fe lettering it originally came with (can anybody shed light on this?). They will be testing it on the tracks across the street from the museum. I'll let you all know the testing date!
Yeah, they were delivered in the warbonet paint scheme, with black SF lettering. Then came the blue and yellow freight schemes, and then the Super Fleet units were painted in warbonet paint, but with bold red SF lettering.-Jeffrey
They were originally delivered with a small SANTA FE in Railroad Roman on the long hood, and numbered in the 100 series. Last time I saw 97, she had some pretty serious rusting on the side panels. They don't call the museum the Age of Rust for nothing. Bradley Linda Waco, Texas
