Jan-20-02, 02:59 PM (EST) 1. "RE: power cut outs in actives" This happens because you violate the speed limit on whatever route you are running. You get a penalty brake application just like you would in real life. If you have the alerter turned on and you don't reset it every time it rings you'll get a penalty brake also. To get going again, simply hit the "Alerter/Reset" button, release the brakes and throttle up. Just watch the speed limit! Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-20-02, 03:17 PM (EST) 2. "RE: power cut outs in actives" are yes but speed limit is 125 m.p.h and i don't use the alter
it has some thing to do with the loco as some can get to 125 and some stop at 77 m.p.h Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-20-02, 06:21 PM (EST) 3. "RE: power cut outs in actives" Some locos aren't designed to run at 125mph.If you get over 77mph you'll get the penalty brake application. All the freight locos are designed to run at 74mph and less anything faster and you're gonna get stopped. These babies have a governor to check your speed just like in the real world.Pressing the "Z" key will reset everything. Jan-21-02, 09:03 PM (EST) 5. "RE: power cut outs in actives" I haven't tried this myself (yet). You will have to edit the locomotives ".eng" file using Wordpad.Go to the " OverspeedMonitor( " section which is nearer to the bottom of the file, and edit either or both of these parameters -
" MonitoringDeviceCriticalLevel( number ) "
" MonitoringDeviceTriggerOnOverspeed( number ) "The 'number' means the speed in mph. In your case the numbers I think should be 127 and 125 respectively.Hope this works!Cheers. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
