Very nice Jay...Here is one from Coldwell, ON when I chased her along the North Shore of Lake Superior. And just a bonus... one from the scenic lookout @ Neys (MP 81) my favorite spot. Chris Wilson

RE: CPR Southwestern Ontario Excursion

Hey Jay, were they on the Galt Sub today when they came through because if they did then I missed them anyways I think they are the high milage crew that go around checking how many miles that CP has in Southern Ontario (thats what I'm thinking right now).

Thanks Guys. Yes Mike, the train was on the Galt sub. These photos were taken at MP 87. They came through at 3:30 pm.
If you live between Windsor and Guelph Junction, or along the sub to Hamilton, you have a chance of seeing it tomorow. If you tell me where you are at, I can tell you if the consist is going by you, and maybe a rough estimate on what time.

RE: CPR Southwestern Ontario Excursion

It's already too late Jay, they came through here at around 11 in the morning while I was at school along the North Toronto Sub. But I'm looking forward for my rail excursion riding on 2816 on Saturday June 12th, 2 days after my birthday thats on the 10th of June now I'm going to be 18 in 6 days.

RE: CPR Southwestern Ontario Excursion

Anybody catch the CN E8s in Brampton yard 2 weeks ago? They were parked just north of Hwy 407, spotted them as I was driving by. They looked like E8s from my vantage point, and were painted in the North American paint scheme. Couldn't see too much of the passenger cars behind, but they were painted sort of a tan orange top and bottomwith a thick white "stripe" down the centre. For a moment, I thought they were Swissie's Rivet Coaches come to life!I gotta start carrying a camera! Paul Watson

For the reasons you spoke of (how the engines and cars are painted) is good enough reason for not looking for them.Thankfully CPR came through to cure that awful taste in my mouth when I saw those CN units and cars go through on 148!JP
