Jan-12-02, 05:23 PM (EST) "Guards, Babes, Etc" TrainSim is a great application. I really like it. Problem is: no people. For example, those ESE/OE/BR Pullman Parlour cars just cry out for some major babes sitting in the plush seats, looking suitably mysterious. Okay, a few suave Errol Flynn types, too, c/w pencil-thin mustache.........
Also, a guard/conductor with a whistle or a shout of "all aboard! even in "Explore the Route". Also, passenger views from brake vans, cabooses, etc. How about shepherds, fishermen and hoboes? This could be a new TS cottage industry.
I enjoy these forums and am learning a lot. They are very well run and I'm glad to be a member.Bravo to all of the designers, developers and train nutz out there who make this an interesting place to come!
Regards from Canada!!

Jan-16-02, 05:55 AM (EST) 1. "RE: Guards, Babes, Etc" http://www.train-sim.com/faq/msts/realism.htm#5.9ARE PEOPLE INCLUDED IN THE GAME?"No. Originally, people were planned to be visible at stations and crossings, but it was decided they would decrease the performance of the game too much. You'll find an occasional 2D person as part of the bitmap for a building. On passenger activities loading and unloading of passengers is
indicated by a count down timer in one of the pop-up windows since you cannot actually see the people."

Jan-16-02, 03:20 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Guards, Babes, Etc" In terms of getting some people into the ESE train, you might try downloading the 'passenger add on' available from the trainartisan website. Adds a half-dozen people to the passenger view, including a mysterious babe. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-24-02, 04:23 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Guards, Babes, Etc" I recall a long explanation of this in the FAQ page of MS's official TS site. Basically saying it would decrease performance greatly, as the AI would have to make so many decisions etc. It's at http://www.microsoft.com/games/trainsim/faq_route_editor.asp , right at the bottom of the page.Martin
