LAST EDITED ON Apr-05-04 AT 09:50 PM (EDT)

Here is a cabshot of a CSX (ex-Conrail) SD60M. The item I wish to draw your attention to is in the upper-right corner of the pic...Jonathan Nikiforovs.

I've seen all sorts of writings on the wall in my short time with the RR. Two that I distinctly remember...B = Better
N = Not
S = Start
F = FamiliesB = But, they
N = Never
S = Said
F = FurloughSome of the others I can't type in the forum NickBNSF Conductor Trainee

I just remembered another one. On some tank cars in I've seen "BN" inside a heart shape and "SF" in a circle with a frown face under it. All the writing I see sure makes switching cars interesting.

A = Always
T = Trying
&
S = Still
F = F*****
and even funnier right below it was:
B = Bigger
N = Nothing
S = STILL
F = F*****
Those are new to me. Nick

S = Still
F = F*****and even funnier right below it was:

From the Cab Signals I'd say that is probably an Ex CR unit....As for the Sentiment so crudely expressed....
Who ever posted that picture did no one a favor as the Loco number is there and for sure Management will be after some one like the hammers of hell!!!!!

I do not see how the photo could tell who did that, especially considering that that's probably been there for a while, seeing how the marker ink is worn.

Yes the employee could be in trouble, not for the writing but the picture. He furnished the pubic with detailed information regarding a locomotive. Osama could use the photo to take a train. Its a new world after 911 and railroads are serious about it. Check this article out. CSXT Cracks Down on Railfan 'Information Leaks'
Author: TO News from CSXT
CSX Transportation has sent a stern reminder to employees that confidential and proprietary shipment information and accident reports are to be protected.
A memo from the rail company states, "The rail industry continues to work with experts in counter-terrorism to enhance rail safety in the U.S. In addition to helping protect the railroads' physical properties and operations, protecting confidential railroad information is key to reducing security threats to the freight and rail transportation network." "Recently, confidential company information appeared on a railfan internet site, having been forwarded by an employee. A company notice on security and confidentiality addresses CSX Rule 512 and the comparable NORAC Rule L, saying that employees have a responsibility to avoid divulging company affairs or records without proper authorization. That rule is particularly important as applied to hazmat shipments, military cargo, or plans that suggest future movements of trains." "In addition, details surrounding accidents are to be furnished to the public only by a company officer."CSXT claims that they are taking a hard-line stance on this and will enforce the appropriate rules through termination of employees found to be in violation.(from trainorders)Nick

RE: Interesting item in a cabshot...

Ha! I didn't know it was going to make that much of a stir!!I'm the perpetrator of the picture, but the graffiti was already in the cab, and by the looks of things, it had been there for quite a while. There was also some anti-railfan graffiti scribbled right over the engineer's side window that really isn't approprate to share in public. BTW, I'm not a railroad employee. This picture was taken with appropriate permission, however. Bart

Ahh, so I see Wal-Mart isn't alone in having a sucks.com website. funny how CSX sued , but didn't get what they wanted. My question is if this was done pre merger , or post merger, as this is an ExCon unit.Paint Shop, Yonder Locomotive Works.

RE: Interesting item in a cabshot...

Two that come to my mind that I saw on the sides of different cabs was,
"Even God hates Trainmasters" And a Hee Haw style donkey with NorfolK Southern wrote around it. Also there was a real good one draw on the side of a box car making fun of the taxi service that NS is using in this area showing a sleeping driver and two scared RR employees.Jonathan

RE: Interesting item in a cabshot...

My absolute favourite has to be...
"F**K Hunter" on the side of a CN coil car Hehe, Not very many people like that guy. Single tracks heavy traffic subs, gets mad when trains are delayed, because they sat in the hole for underpowered, over tonnage trains?No wonder the Strathroy sub is called Hunter Harrisons Parking Lot!I could go on forever about that guy.. but 'nuff said.
