I know, Im planning to chase it from Pine Bluff south along US 65. The last chased was so exciting, I didnt know that old men could drive that fast. I was following some old men in a van and we never got below 80 coming towards Fordyce. Once the 3985 passed through downtown Pine Bluff it was kinda a hassle tryin to get out of there.
Farmer John just wanted to slow poke around in front of us and when we finally got around him on 530 it was in the wind. By the time we got to Kingsland it was a line of 10 cars or so. I'm looking forward to it again, just hope the weather is a little bit better.

The best railroad there ever was

The weather was so bad here, I just gave up and watched it cross the river from my office window. There was a storm passing overhead at that time and it was so dark about all you could see was a plume of steam and some flashes from the firebox. Quite a sight, though, since it is about as long as a span on the bridge!By the way, have you seen the Fordyce and Princeton route in the library?

Thanks for the heads up Bill. Maybe I'll be able to see her after she leaves Wyoming.I never get tired of watching such a beautiful giant beastie roll by! The only thing better is standing next to her on a hot layover and feeling the shockwave pulses from the massive firebox. Truly an awesome sensation! -Jeff
