I just got the funniest virus I've ever seen... And some other lame attempts... 5 viruses in one day... From " support@symantec.com
Called : Virus Sample" The sample file you sent contains a new virus version of mydoom.j.
Please clean your system with the attached signature.

Even though I don't recall sending them a virus...Well real Norton Antivirus picked it up for me, so I am safe...Watch out guys, these @$$holes are getting really bold...Oh ya- and to the creator of the viruses... "You cant fool proof fools" I just got an email from the "Cyclonetrain.com Website Development & Email Team" Telling me that I need to "update my software" by opening up this zip file named "chatter.zip" and "follow the following prompts". They changed the header so it came from "webmaster@cyclonetrain.com" which, stangely enough, IS MY MAIN EMAIL ADRESS!!
So yep, these stupid retards, get stupider by the gigabyte.Back to the Atlas HO Baby Trainmaster...

That is the sad part... It is very sick when people make these viruses for fun and enjoy it... But I bet they have upto date Virus software so they dont get attacked. Those are very very sick people.In my oppinion only... They should be taken out back and shot... (but thats me only )

LOL, this reminds me of a story...I get home from school, and check the message machine. There's a message, so naturally, I play it. "You've won a trip to Orlando! This is real! Call blahblahblah...". I look over on to the Caller ID, and I write down the number to see what the company/organization was. Later on, I jumped on the Internet, typed in the number, and the first thing I get is a website by the FBI, IIRC. Why? It apparently was a scam/prank. The number that the "prize" came from was from The south pacific. You were supposed to call the number to recive the directions, but they keep you on hold for a long time, ranking up your phone bill. The rates were very high, IIRC, ~$10/min or something. Long Story Short: We got hold of the police, and they did their thing.Yay for my crappy storytelling...

Stand clear of the biting doors.

One of those "Junk Mail", ones not infected with Netsky, which is 95% of it lately, Had all of this money that he wanted to give me. He had no siblings to pass on his fortune. NOT! Just another one of those scams looking for my account number.I don't open any of them, but, can view the raw ascii without opening or activating any HTML codes by looking at the Properties. Can't post the actual message as it was deleted some time ago along with 30 Netsky spoffed messages.There must be tens of thousands of zombie computers, mostly in Europe, spewing out garbage e-mail the past few weeks.Even here in the States. My job involves service work on furniture in homes around the state. I daily see home computers sitting supposingly in an idle state, running screen savers, and the cable modem on and active. Most of those computers are on 24-7 with little or no firewall or virus protectin.SRV Ron

Yea... I get hundreds of emails each year from people claiming to be African Princes, who's king father was exiled and shot, and he wants me to take his money untill he can get back into power.Yea... Right- When they all send you emails with similar stories you get to thinking Hey... There are more kings and primeministers in this one country, then countries in Africa

I've been getting emails lately telling me that I need to update my eBay and PayPal accounts. If I didn't I would be suspended from using eBay or PayPal. The stupid part of it was, it didn't come from eBay or PayPal. It came from somebody's own email account. Needless to say, I notified eBay and PayPal with copies of the original email and they said they would take it from there.Jim

I got one from fdic.com telling me my bank account had been closed due to fraud on my part and that I would be penalized x amount of dollars each day,open the attached zip file to get the contact # at the FDIC.

need to be prepared for virus, trojans, spywares attacks! having the appropriate programs installed.my grandfather got totally busted last month, asked me over to fix his home page, was hijacked, to a busty girls sex site, fixed it for him and had a beer and installed spybot and windows washer for him.
....just run them both before shut down grandad, grandma will never know.

Somehow I think I'm going to get SHOT for saying this....but,
back in the day (when I was in college) I wrote a small virus that resembled one of the more nasty ones called "Doomsday". (Doomsday for those that don't know, is basically Mydoom's earliest variant.)Well, the one I wrote was based on a simple idea. It didn't do anything at all. In fact, the worst it'd do to you is scare you to death because it would claim to be erasing the harddrive, while all it did was post up a screen of it doing it.(in simpler words. "It faked being a virus") The sad thing is, I had a copy of it still floating around but lost it recently. Still, I'm fighting with oh...half a dozen viri on my system now, and I have one of the viri that's bouncing out random emails. It's a SVCHOST that tries to send mails all the time. But, since I don't have Cable or DSL, it won't do anything other than be annoying.
