Jan-05-02, 02:26 AM (EST) "NE Corridor/Short Passenger Run Question" TS is my first attempt at playing a computer game and I seem to have run into a problem. When doing the short pass run in the NE corridor the activity ends 2:59 into the activity. Nothing I have been able to do seems to change the result. Cars derailed.
Even if I do not move anything this happens. I am open to any ideas. Thanks. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Ditch it and move on to another. The other activity where there is a bug is the Whitefish Switching activity on Marias Pass. However there is a revised version of this is the downloads section. You should be able to find other discussions of it here on the forums. You won't believe how dumb this is: you know that train you pass as you pull out of Washington? Well it overshoots the platform and crashes into the buffers at the end of the track. For some reason you get blamed and the activity ends.Try starting up the activity and just sitting there. You'll see the other train enter the station and gently smack into the end of the line. A few seconds later the activity ends, even though you haven't moved! There is no solution. The work-around is to get the heck out of Washington as fast as you can. If you put enough distance between yourself and the scene of the derailment it won't affect you and you can continue on with the activity, and if you're quick off the mark you can accomplish this without speeding.Rob. Jan-05-02, 08:37 AM (EST) 3. "RE: NE Corridor/Short Passenger Run Question" Yes, that is the solution. Because of the 40 ahead first time I was quite cautious with the throttle and so got hit by the AI train. Not knowing why it had ended I took the 'aod it' approach and went at a higher throttle. It worked a treat and went on to complete the rest of the activity. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

That would be my solution.Dick van den Hoven
