Jan-02-02, 07:37 PM (EST) "NEW SCREENSHOT POST.....IF YA WANNA :7" Hi All, Here are my shots of an Amtrak train on the NEC in a blizzard.
Unfortunately, the last pic is of Amtrak taking off into oblivion unless the American people do something to stop or stupid gov't from getting rid of it.

I am just tired of the feds giving Airlines and state highways billions and AMTRAK getting shoved aside, or disbanded. It will be a dark day for this country if Amtrak is let die. But is has NEVER gotten its fair share. This country is to reliant on airlines and trucks. Trucks belong on flatcars except for the short haul.
Regardless of the events of 9/11 the US Government has ALWAYS given the airlines billions of dollars. while Amtrak gets less than 1 billion.
Amtraks ridership has continually risen over the last few years, and after 9/11 has risen substaintally.
These are my opinions, as I love riding the train. Plus I am a former rail worker.
But this post was supposed to be for screenshots!!! PLEASE post screenshots of your trains here!!! Kelley

And, oh yah, the US has always subsidized the air-industry! Always heavily-taxed the railroads! Nice payback for the HEROIC deeds the Railroads performed in WWII !

This is a winter plow train on the CNW in Wisconsin near Lodi. Nice shots Tim!!! My derailment was somewhere between Philly and DC. Their was a track diverging off to the left, and a big hill at the end, so the train took filght!! Kelley

There, stuck beneath a box of useless junk...along with that thingamabob you got your wife for christmas last year, which you happen to wonder just why it's up here if she loved it as much as she said upon opening it, you find a slightly squashed box.It has no label, no writing on it...just a simple shoe box. Shrugging to yourself, you pop the top; only to find an amazing sight. Stuffed to the brim of the box are slightly faded color pictures of the famous "Wabash Cannonball".You take note of the penned comments on the back as you flip through...Our train, waiting in the station. Nearly got arrested taking this picture. Platform, looking toward locomotives. This is the Gene Autry...named for the singer who made this train famous.
(I hear he's going to be traveling with us today...hope I can get his autograph)Baggage Car. Mary was sure I was going to get killed or worse taking this picture from the tracks. Engine, #1182, side. Took this while the officer wasn't looking. Nice of him not to take the camera from me.
Passing shot. Took this while hanging from the window of the car as we were going to the station. Mary swears she'll never drive with me again.(Critter Werks Notes: This consist is far from done, as many of you may notice from the odd details in some of the shots.
