Jan-02-02, 01:39 PM (EST) "Trouble with MSTS Buddy" Hi,does anybody uses MSTS Buddy? Twice I' d sent payment of $14.95 via PayPal to the account of JWisman@mediaone.net. J. Wisman is the Owner of the program. And twice I got the Unlock- Key. But I' m very angry. MSTS Buddy generates a new customer code automatically so I couldn' t unlock the program. I thought, the Costumer Code is a permanent code for my Installation, but it isn' t. Buddy changes the Customer- Code automatically!!! That is a very bad joke. Today I lost $30.00 and can' t use it. In this Moment I could explode. Dieter

He's a longstanding member here. Just get in touch with him and I'm sure you'll get things worked out.Rich Garber Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

I gues you were talking about the code it gives you when you install the game? I have had to reinstall the game and it just gave me a different code. Jan-02-02, 10:27 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Trouble with MSTS Buddy " Buddy is a great consits editor and "auto mation" car mixer for making consits out of any of your cars and or engines.Mr Wiseman is more interested in Trainz than MSTS and is not improving the program. I find it invaluable and one of the best buys for the money....but you can only activate it once...due to the protection program. You can not move it to another hard drive, you can not reinstall in if something go awry. I did have a interesting time in getting him to respond to me to reactivate the program. The last cooaspondance I had with him he hinted that he was going to make it free...but I've heard nothing yet. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jan-02-02, 10:44 PM (EST) 4. "RE: Trouble with MSTS Buddy" I'm also a long time registered user of MSTS Buddy. The Author has hinted that he is considering dropping support for the application in recent posts to this board or making the shareware program freeware. There were some objections to making it freeware from among the registered users of the application that have paid for the registration already. While the application is pretty good at doing what it is designed to do, it does have the annoying "feature" of requiring re-activation every time it is re-installed with a private key that must be obtained from Mr. Wisman only. After legitimately registering the software, if you ever have to reinstall the program you may find yourself permanently locked out, if Mr. Wisman is not available via email to provide a new software key. The registration keys are only good for one instance as you apparently have already found. If your a new user that hasn't registered yet, there are existing programs on this board that perform the same functions and some upcoming ones hinted at from Jack Fearon, author of SkyConductor! and Route Control, both very awesome applications.Good luck.
