Woke up to 3" snow on the ground here!
Decided I needed to go foaming, as there wasn't anything but water on the roads, a little snow, but that was it. This is the only shot that came out worth a dime, unless you want to see some 55 mph grab shots of AutoMax cars.Snow railfanning – image 2

RE: Snow railfanning

We had 2-3" here North of Austin. Sorry I am new to snow and really don't know what to look for when measuring it but I do know it was to the top of my shoes. I did take the camera to the yard this morning in Taylor but there was only a string of 9 cars and a GP38-2. Sorry I left the camera in the car so I don't have the shot yet.

The news station said you would have to go back to 1953 to see that much snow again. We had alot of ice last year but snow is really unusual. I took the picture from the south side so you really can't see much snow.

Measured a total of 67 inches here yesterday, I want MORE! (Maybe not, I get to handle the shovel then) It almost totally melted yesterday, going out of school, I was so hot I couldn't wear my jacket. Well, is it that up north 100 inches is nothing, in Washington DC 1/2 of an inch is a major emergency?

Howdy!

>Well, is it that up north 100 inches is nothing, in Washington DC 1/2 of an inch is a major emergency? So True. In Philadelphia, when it snows, All the news stations (esp. ABC) give us updates on the roads and cancelations (almost) every commercial break. They treat the snow like it's something new ."Well, It's official. Hell has frozen OVER!!"-Commedian Lewis Black regarding it snowing in Las Vegas.

3" HA!!! Like someone said that considered frost in Central NY! I think last check we were up to 107 inches? 30 inches over normal for this time of year. And it will probably snow up the middle of April if not later!

RE: Snow railfanning

Think that's bad? What about those poor newfie buggers who are getting slammed consecutively for that last 4 years? In Cornerbrook, I believe, they got over 10 feet last year."All your base are belong to us. Resistance is Futile. You will be iceimilated."

I wanna highball it through Woodstock, Ont. on none other than...THE TURBOTRAIN!!!
