When you buy this, if you send in your registration you will be sent 2 routes to use these items on. The whole package is Abacus'/3D Trains way of offering some financial help to the workers who are jobless since the entire taconite operation shut down last June
I'm still waiting for my routes, although in another post I hear they are shipping.

"RE: LTV mining add on for simulator" Well lets get this over with first of all,AHHHHHAHAHAHA Microshaft!!!Now that thats over with...I also baught the LTV Train Set from Best Buy($20) which seemed a little expensive once I figured out all i was getting was the trains to start out with, but its for a good cause any way.But I dont understand what you mean by "populated" route. "RE: LTV mining add on for simulator" Some of the facts in this thread are somewhat off - #1 is that the route wasn't finished in time for the pressing of the original CD; #2 is that the route is not really free...You paid for it when purchasing the LTV addon - #3 is that in keeping with the MS EULA, all new content was created for the route, including textures, objects, sounds, etc.Thanks to all who laid out their hard earned money for this addon - I'm sure the families of the LTV workers also appreciate your support - I'm hoping the sales will make some impact. "RE: LTV mining add on for simulator" LAST EDITED ON Jan-03-02 AT 06:22 PM (EST)I thought I heard something about it not being ready to ship, but didnt quite remember the details.But about the all new objects thing, I was looking at the screen-shots on Abacus' site and some of the objects looked like they were original buildings from MSTS, but I supose those shots might of been taken on the original MSTS routes and are just trying to show people the engines.Well any way, I cant wait till my new routes arrive, they sound great!! They should be getting here sometime this next week I hope.
