Dec-27-01, 06:08 PM (EST) "New File Previews??" Nels,Would it be possible to post the screenshot and the FileID.diz for the new downloadable files somewhere where they could be "previewed only". That way, we could see what was posted without going into the download area . . . especially when the download area is so "crowded"? I use that technique all the time.Another way to save time, is to download once a week, all the files from that week - like I do on a Saturday morning UK time - but even then it takes 2 or 3 tries to get it.Just how many people can be in at one time??

Also they usually don't complaint about WHAT THEY GET FOR FREE! I stand behind my observation..... So IMHO if you are getting your "service for free and are complaining" then you are either an "ingrate looking a gift horse in the mouth" or a cheapskate looking to piggyback on the rest of us who pay...

Chuck, I think if you read my original post, you'll find that I was not complaining, but rather looking for a way to check the new files without having to log in to the actual download area. This, I think you'll realize, is not only more convienent during peak periods, but for eveyone who uses the "new files" page . . . free's up a node for those who actually want to download.Chuck, you don't know me, nor I you. I want you to know that I don't appreciate your unfounded insinuations and name calling. It takes an awful lot of arogance to blindly attack people you don't know on a public forum. I was making an observation about the people who have been complaining about Train-Sim’s performance lately… You know the ones who won’t pay but want the same access as those of us who do… and expect Nels to do it for free! Sorry about the misunderstanding…
Open Mouth insert hoof!BTW: Your idea about a preview page is a good one! Nels already does it for Flightsim and I’ve often wondered why he never got around to it here???

I never have any 2/3days prolonged rejection.My system is to download every w'end, but check up, using the page URL, and seeing if there is anything vitally important every day.
