Dec-24-01, 08:13 PM (EST) "Nels kidnapped by "Space Aliens"??????" Site not updated for 2 days.... No I'm going to Lost Vegas for a month and spend all my money on ????? messages.... No E-mails answered all week. Not like Nels at all! Hope he is just on "French Leave!" There That ought to get all the French and French Canadiens on my a$$ for being non-PC and the howls should wake Nels up....

I got the "All Nodes Busy" (AM or PM attempts) everytime I tried to get to the download area. I don't mind that it is not necessarily updated I would just like a message announcing when Nels is unable to update so we don't innundate him with files he can't possibly process. I goofed during the upload of my 1880 Union Pacific coaches repaints of John Fowlis' excellent 1883 pioneer coaches and he sent me an e-mail telling me it was ok and he'll put them in as soon as he could. the nodes are busy even now at 4:51 am. I finally got in to find they still aren't there. no problem as I'm sure Nels is busy for the holidays. the nodes are either busy because they haven't been refreshed in a while or there are massive amounts of downloades going on by everyone that got or is getting MSTS for christmas. not sure which but I'm sure all will be back to normal soon. I can imagine that the servers got to be working overtime during the holiday season. Just about everyone is either on vacation or laid-off with time to play with their trains.Our problem is that we've all become MSTS junkies and need our daily new file download hit... So Nels, enjoy some quiet time and then get back to work. I need to eat up some more hard drive with train updates!Everyone have a great holiday season! The "captured by space aliens" subject is an inside joke that goes back some 5 years or so to the beginning of time in Flight Simulator days and was used to try and find out what happened to developers who would appear one month, promise a lot of cool stuff, and then disappear.....

I'm sure he hacked a 2d person to fly around Marias to "simulate" Nels.LOL. to the poeple who said " need our daily download fix". HAHAHAHAHA. I expect this to happen. every time I download something I get a useless trinket that I don't need or like and save it for just the occasion. by useless trinket I mean an electric locomotive or a sign or something that is of no use to me. I am what you call a steam buff and only use and love steam engines. though I use diesels I mostly like the early ones. such as F7's, etc. I hate electrics. I'm not saying they are bad locomotives I just don't like them. and by useless I mean of no importance to me. nothing on any site related to this game is useless. they are all nicely done routes, objects, rolling stock, locomotives, etc. except for a thing called a locovap. found on a german site. the same site that has the 3 door engine shed. it looked like a 4-4-0 in the pic but is actually a wierd looking thing. anyway I put the "trinket" zips aside for just an occasion so I have something to fill the void. you should try it. right now I have 7 diesel, 2 steam, and 2 routes that aren't even unzipped yet. though these aren't useless they were just a surplus as one day I was sifting through the vast amount of beautiful objects and kept going back in to get these.
