Dec-25-01, 11:59 AM (EST) 4. "RE: CSX Wreck Photos" lol, I love the part where they question if the train engineer tried to stop. And I'd like to see more pics, when possible. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-25-01, 07:44 PM (EST) 5. "RE: CSX Wreck Photos" There was a huge derailment in Pacific, MO near my home of St. Louis a few weeks ago. Three coal trains involved, 6 engines derailed, 75 coal cars on the ground. Went and got some shots of the mangled engines today. One was completly destroyed, another 2 will most likely be scrapped and the other three had minimal damage.
Thanks Jae

Dec-26-01, 03:59 AM (EST) 6. "RE: CSX Wreck Photos" Read the report in the URL above. There is a lovely pun at the end of it (remembering this happened at Kodak Park.Technicians yesterday measured what was spilled, how much burned and what was left in the toppled rail tanker cars, said DEC spokeswoman Linda Vera. A clearer picture should emerge in a few days, she said. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Dec-26-01, 09:25 AM (EST) 7. "RE: CSX Wreck Photos" hope noone was hurt. that looks pretty bad from the shots you showed. but at least you get a nice look at a diesel engine in that one shot. just a little humor to ease the tention of thinking about these wrecks. Looking at that wreck reminds me of an "accident" that happened to a friend of mine a year ago. he jumped in front of a passing NJ Transit GP38. wasn't a pretty sight. anyway I'd like to see more if you will post them. never seen a wreck wreck. i.e. I've seen derailments but never a wreck like this. though not a good thing to say but its actually interesting. in terms of looking at what caused it and what happens when you don't obey the rules. by that I mean it shows people that trains are very dangerous to mess with. Never cross a downed gate or you will look like that. anyway I hope everyone got out of that mess with no injurys. Craig Shortino Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
