DynamicBrakesMaximumEffectiveSpeed( 65 )
DynamicBrakesMaximumForce( 900kN )
DynamicBrakesResistorCurrentLimit ( 1300 )
DynamicBrakesCutInSpeed( 8 )
DynamicBrakesMaxAirBrakePressure ( 15 )
DynamicBrakesFadingSpeed( 12 )
DynamicBrakesDelayTimeBeforeEngaging ( 10 )
DynamicBrakesMaximumSpeedForFadeOut ( 65 )
DynamicBrakesEffectAtMaximumFadeOut( 0 )
DynamicBrakesHigherSpeedCurveExponent( 1 )
DynamicBrakesLowerSpeedCurveExponent( 1 )
DynamicBrakesNumberOfControllerNotches( 10 )Hope this helps,Brian (Mac) Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-19-01, 10:35 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Non operating Dynamic brakes on the GP38-2" www.3dtrainstuff.com has got a pair of files for download containing tweaked dynamic brake settings for both the GP38 and the Dash 9. Just cut and paste the dynamic brake section out of each one into the .eng file for each engine. They are supposed to be set to more realistic values than the original settings. After trying them on the Dash 9 the dynamics actually slow the train now, instead of just making a bunch of noise. Mr. F Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Jun-21-01, 09:53 PM (EST) 3. "RE: Non operating Dynamic brakes on the GP38-2" I'm glad that someone fixed that problem. 2 dash 9's can hold a mile and a half of pigs on a pretty steep grade and keep them under 60...as long as they are working well. I noticed that 2 dash 9s and 2 sd45's didn't really do that well. The air brakes are WAY to effective. a first service at 60 will not bring you to a stop NEAR as fast. Does anyone know how to tweak that? Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

On the Home page under Q Links, the first is "A Rail Driver's Perspecive. Here is a link to the page. http://www.3dtrainstuff.com/raildriver.html.
Then just above the picture is the link to the download. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
