Well, as of today, I am now stichless, however, one picky part of my hand refuses to close up, mainly due to the fact, the doctor that gave me the stiches, did not put them in right, causing 2 of the stiches to prematurely "break" from my skin. The nurses and doctors *never the same..always different each day, though, I do see some of the RN's that do the dressing and stich removal most of the time* as am myself, getting quite frustrated and worried about the wound. Friday I will be put on a stronger drug for the infection and just only hope for the best... Senior Doctors will be talking to the doctor that put in my stiches.Other Than that...all is swell..... for now

Hope you'll get well soon. I never had trouble with stiches myself, except for a few cases when the doctor didn't put them on right and they would fall of prematurely. It doesn't bother me really, the sooner they get out the better hehe. Well I hope you get it taken care of man.

RE: Hand Update

Some years ago I fell off a motorcycle and ended up with all
kinds of cuts and scrapes. Part of my nose almost departed.
Someone told me to use Vitamin E Oil. It is available from any
good drugstore. You just put it on the cut a couple of times a day
and it pulls the skin together and reduces scaring.
Worked wonders for me.
Don't keep it wrapped too tight , cuts need LOTS of air.
Good luck and thanks for all your pictures, really liked the ones
in the snow.

Hang in there Brian. I know what you are going through. About five years ago, I grabbed hold of the business end of an operating chainsaw! Sounds painful, but it severed a nerve and there was no pain. Fortunately, it chewed up the index finger of my left hand but did not sever the finger. I had emergency surgery to clean up the mess and subsequent surgery to re-attach the severed nerve. I now have full mobility in the finger but only about 60% feeling. The scars look kinda ugly and the finger has a slight curve to it but it works just fine on a computer keyboard! It took about three months for it to completely heal.Cal Rasmussen
