I'm not ignoring anyone, but life sucks right now

HEy all, I am sad to have to right this, but quite a few people have wondered where i have went, and I am behind in my lighting projects. I assure all of you I WILL come through for you.....PLEASE don't doubt me.....That being said, I thnik it is only fair to tell you between the kids, my closest and dearest friend being deployed to Iraq next Wed. and now tonight, My closest aunt was diagnosed terminal with cancer that has spread into her bladder and kidneys. They give her a few weeks tops. We have been watching her slowly decline, only to hear the Docs say she was fine and it was all in her head. Gues she showed THEM huh?Also, I have been involved in a project with someone here in the MSTS community. BUT...I assure you it is the life issues keeping me from getting things done quickly. After tonight, I FINALLY realized how precious your family is and how soon your world can come crashing down around you. To ALL of you out there with loved ones, PLEASE make sure they KNOW you love them!! Guys, don't be affraid to say I LOVE you !!My uncle (same aunts husband) died three years ago from the SAME stuff! NEITHER of them smoked, nor drank. I am angry, upset, and glad I have a little time to show I care before the end. Not only to my aunt, but my mom and dad, friends, family and everyone. So please bear with me. In reality, we are not expecting my aunt to make it pass Christmas. If this happens, It will be the second close relative (grandfather) I have had to bury before CHristmas (he was on 12/24/84)Some may say :"you should have done this a long time ago." but I, not unlike many of you out there, see the sky for the clouds. SO I am not gone or slacking. IT is just hard right now. Sorry to waste bandwith like this, but I needed to tell everyone. Believe me there is more, and I am NOT trying to play on sympathy either. BUt I consider many of you on here friends and felt you had a right to know!Thanks!

I understand fully. And yes it took the death of a loved one for me to realize how important life is. You only get one shot at it. I have a aunt who had a second stroke on the left side of her body and they arent giving her to the end of this month. So all of my family
is here and we are besides her all the time. On top of that, my 2 year old son has had a brush with this flu spreading everywhere that required a visit to the emergency room. Im telling you that it scared me half to death, so im caring for him right now. And so close to the holiday season. But hey we are with you during these holidays and your time of greif. You are in my prayers and you have a safe and merry christmas.

Kelley,MSTS is a game only....it's what we do for fun and sharing a common interest has brought us all here. We've become an extended family, so to speak. When real life issues take a turn for the worse, we, as human beings, have to come to grips with the situation. If you think as I do, your family is the most important thing in your life, and the primary cause for your existance. There is no need to apologize for putting your lighting chores on the back burner to take care of something vastly more important.......( if anyone should apologize here, it would be me to you for not getting around to that Bell Huey model you asked me for a year and a half ago.....). You do what you have to and take care of your loved ones first - most of us have been in similar situations. My family and I will say some prayers for you and yours, and I hope you can still get some enjoyment out of the coming holiday season.

My prayers are with you, dealing with the loss of a family member, or knowing a family member is about to pass is never an easy thing. You have every right to take the time you need to deal with the grief. I personally have had to deal with 4 losses over the last 30 years. My little brother when I was 5 1975 (SIDS) My grandfather I was 12 in 1982 (Heart Attack), he also had polio and was on crutches since he was 26, My Grandmother I was 17 1987 (Stroke), and my wifes grandmother last year in july (Stomach Cancer). I miss them all terribly, but I also feel that they are all in a better place without pain or suffering.Happy Holidays

Know where you're at,early December 2000 Mom wasn't feeling quite right and Dad insisted she go see the doc,she was immeadiatly admited to the hospital for testing and the family had decided to postpone Christmas celebrations till Mom was feeling better.
December 27 we got the word it was ovarian cancer(how about that for a merry Christmas?)she fought the good fight but we lost her Aug 2 2001.

To everyone in here your family is always first MSTS is a game and the game will always be here but not your loved one My aunt passed away this weekend while christmas shopping. Lone_Gunman_SG I'm sorry to hear about your mom i know it must have been painful and i know it still is.

Hi KelleyI'm really sorry to hear your bad news. You're right with your sentiments though - it's really important to let the ones you love know it while you have the chance. It's a lesson for us all.My close family's also had some grief and bad news over the last 2 months. Fortunately, the treatment's working well with both my dad and my mother-in-law. Thankfully this Xmas will be a happy one for us this year.I'm not religious, but I send you and your family my very best wishes.Cheers
