Anyone know what happend to all of them ? I know that they sold some but anyone have any specifics as to if they sold some to any specific Railroads ? I think I remember seeing one in Primer back a Loooooonnnnngggg time ago but I am fuzzy as to if it was an FP45, F45 or a totally different unit . I know that none went over to BNSF becuase that would be the weirdest looking locomotive to come out of the shops for a while . If anyone has any info on what ATSF did with all of them then please let me know . Thank YouShane Palus BNSF Railfan

Yes, I saw the one on display at the Barstow Amtrak station last week on a sidetrip over there. There is also one in the city of Perris at the Orange Empire Railway Museum, (#98).
Shane Actually the AT&SF had both FP45's and F45's and I can tell you another is out at the Ill. Railway Museum at Union IL. and I can also tell you that a good chunk of the AT&SF as well as a number of BN's ex GN FP45's ended up on the WC however I'm not sure of their fate after the CN merger, last I seen there was a number of them mixed in with a bunch of ratty looking ex Soo and C&NW GP30's,GP9's and SD18's in a Chicago bound funeral train about a year agoGary S

Thanks guys , I forgot about the Barstow one I have it on Video tape too . Anyone know why they got rid of them all when BNSF came ? Shane Palus BNSF Railfan
Really, the ATSF was starting to weed them out with the coming of the dash 8 and dash 9, and then in the very last years, the SD 75. Even if they would have avoided the merger, the F45's would have been done away with just the same.
