Dec-03-01, 02:36 PM (EST) "trainsimfiles.com - Announcement" Due to reasons beyond anyone's control, trainsimfiles (.com .net & .org.uk) has been taken offline and will not be returning. The good news is that Matt and Atomic Systems are able to provide a nice new home for the UK MSTS community at http://www.uktrainsim.com Matt is an accomplished MSTS model maker who has been involved with MSTS add-ons since its early days. Atomic Systems successfully host a number of websites and are capable of providing a high quality, reliable new home for UK MSTS community. A good, if underused, set of forums already exist, and there are also provisions for uploading and viewing pictures. Facilities for uploading and downloading models in a similar way to that intended for trainsimfiles.com had already been planned, and will now now be implemented as a matter of urgency. However, it may take a little while before all our favourite models are available again. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Tim Booth for his pioneering work in creating UK rolling stock for MSTS and setting up a website around which a flourishing community has grown, before MSTS was even released in the UK. I wish him well for the future, and hope that he will continue to produce his standards setting models. I would also like to wish Matt the best of luck, and success in taking over where Tim is leaving off, and look forward to seeing a secure and reliable new home where the community can continue to flourish and share all that is best in UK Railway simulation. Ian M. (Note, when I refer to the UK MSTS community, I mean all those people from around the world who are interested in the railways of the UK and their simulation) Please help to spread the word. Feel free to copy this announcement to any forums or individuals I have missed.

Dec-03-01, 05:19 PM (EST) 4. "RE: trainsimfiles.com - Announcement" The files area is being developed, but we will all just have to be patient for a bit. I had not realised that Mat had just got back from holiday the day I dropped this lot onto his plate. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
