"RE: install problems :(" I don't know how common this is, but I had a defective number 2 CD that got the hiccups during the install, and altho it installed OK with no error messages, but some of the routes were corrupted when I tried them. I took the package back to the store I bought it from, and exchanged it for a good set of disks, and that fixed the problem. Some people have also reported problems with installing on CD-RW or DVD drives instead of a "pure" CDROM drive, although it's a sometimes thing. My German is a little rusty, but I think "fehler bei der Medienauthentifizierung" means "this disk will self destruct in 5 seconds". Better take cover. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

In the end after admitting they had nevewr heard of the error they suggested I enter msconfig and select selective start-up unchecking all but the first two boxes. I do this every time I have to re-instal and it gives a sweet loading wirth no problems.
hope this helps Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
