It is a Trolley.
an Ex TTC Railgrinder. Built by "Preston" in 1915.
Seen at the Halton County Radial Railway (museum).
It was in one of there Shops. I think its used in there Haloween show, but im not 100% sure.
I have more pics from the museum if anyones interested..Edit: Actually it has quite a history...
started as a: Toronto Civic Railways #52 untill 1921.
Then became TTC streetcar 2204. untill 1932.
in 1947: Changed to TTC Snow scraper 2204.
1955: changed to TTC Rail grinder W-27.
In 1976 became TTC RT-7.

RE: Reaper Express...

Hi,That's really nice, if small, railcar museum. I've been there a few times, with just my wife, and my grandchildren, and my parents when they visited from England.I've seen that car on several occassions, but never before in the workshop. I've always seen it in a storage shed at the far end of the line - just before the turning loop. Mind you, I've not visited just before halloween. The Halton County Radial Railway Musuem has an interesting problem. When they aquire new vehicles which weren't originally TTC (Toronto) vehicles, they have to re-gauge the wheels. The reason for this is that when the museum first started, they had just few Toronto streetcars (which would otherwise have been scrapped - that was the motivation in the first place). Consequently, they laid the track to the non-standard gauge used by the TTC. Consequently, vehicles from other sources have to be regauged in order to be able to run them. They do have some really nice, attractive, and interesting cars, including one from Chicago.Any one visiting Southern Ontario should consider a visit to the museum, and also the South Simcoe Railway (the only steam train left in Ontario), whose trains are usually pulled/pushed by an elderly 4-4-0, No. 136.CheersJohn

I've been there before and it's cool. They also have 2 ex TTC subway cars form the 1950's there as well.

Actually John, the guage problem isn't as bad as it seems...The ex-CTA car, for example, had a simple solution. Since it's essentially a PCC car, all they had to do was jack it up, roll the old trucks out, and roll a set of PCC trucks under that they happened to have lying around. Voila! You now have a CTA car running on TTC's guage, with the additional benefit that you don't have to worry about the third rail power shoes anymore. They have more than two subway cars now...they've got the "old red" cars, 5098 and 5099 (converted to run off of the overhead now), M1's 5300 and 5301, and the CTA car. They also have some other interesting equipment, like a handful of ex-TTC and HSR trolley buses, an ex-LP&S boxcab, a 1932 Ford bus and an ex-Kitchener "Old Look".Quite an interesting museum...I'll have to go out there again soon.Dan*Edit* Also meant to add that the South Simcoe isn't the only operating steam museum in the area...there is also one based out of St. Thomas, although they are currently out on a tour of the former CN lines from London to Stratford to Kitchener and Waterloo (mmmm.....Oktoberfest....by train!).Making a mockery of serious business for 23 years.

Dan, Heres a shot of the busses.
I hope they restore the freight motors! Ya i can't wait to go back!

Maybe we can give ya a lift there? But be warned we stop alot for trains!
On the way we heard a CP train at meadowvale. So we went over to campbelvile. It was spitting rain and freezing cold, but finnaly this CP freight came into sight battling the hill.
