Nov-16-01, 10:28 PM (EST) 2. "RE: Snow Day engine" I went to their site and downloaded version 11 and I am experiencing trouble running the activity. I receive an error message stating:Error reading train database fileFile:\Trains\Trainset\3DT_GP9_DEMO\GP9.engIn the readme file included with the engine, it states that the .eng file was updated, is it possible that only the v1.0 version of the .eng file will work on this activity?

Nov-17-01, 03:33 AM (EST) 3. "RE: Snow Day engine" LAST EDITED ON Nov-17-01 AT 03:40 AM (EST)Hi,The Activity or better one or more of the consists files are looking for a folder 3DT_GP9_DEMO. It seems that the 1.1 has an other folder, as it is no demo.Just rename the folder in which the GP9 is installed to 3DT_GP9_DEMO.You can find the GP9 folder in the Trainset subfolder.
An idea of the Program Files section in the pict. below:Message Areas - "Snow Day engine" – image 1 I don't have a GP9, so I don't know the exact name.Dick van den Hoven Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-17-01, 07:21 AM (EST) 4. "RE: Snow Day engine" Yes, I did create the activity when only the demo was released. The folder was called 3DT_GP9_DEMO. I haven't downloaded the newer version so I don't know what folder it puts it in. You would probably have to change the folder name from whatever it is now to 3DT_GP9_DEMO, and change the .eng, .s, and .sd file to read GP9.eng, GP9.s, etc.Mike Karlik

Nov-17-01, 09:15 AM (EST) 5. "RE: Snow Day engine" Version 1.1 puts the files in a folder called 3DT_GP9_DEMO_BN. The .eng, .s, and .sd files already have GP9 in front of them. Now I changed the folder name from above to what you recommended and now the activity loads and then I receive the error message about sending a report to Microsoft. Apparantly changing the directory name got rid of the error message I was initially receiving. Now I haven't created a consist for this activity, all the non-default cars are in the trainset directory though. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-17-01, 09:29 AM (EST) 6. "RE: Snow Day engine" Do you think that the error message has to do with the infamous "Snow Problem" and not with the GP9?Mike Karlik
