Well... I dunno...It'd be pretty cool if they fixed your house and let you keep it! Of course, that'd never happen, but railfans can dream can't they?Tim Frost

Doesn't look like a wreck to me. No colateral damage. I think someone did a fantastic job of incorporating the nose of a locomotive into their house. I have seen trucks and cars similarly used but this is the first time for a loco. Now, I wonder if there is a high power PC with a raildriver and high resolution LCD monitor inside that thing...runing MSTS of course! Cal Rasmussen

I've heard one of two stories to explain this. The first is as Cal said, that it's a railfan's idea of a joke. The nose of a scrapped bulldog was cut off and incorporated into the home.
The second however is that the engine missed a curve, blew up an embankment, through the back of two stores (and the bar) and then out through the house where it terminated its trip.Somehow, Looking at the engine, I'm inclined to believe the first. No damage on the nose.EDIT:Check that, I took a close look at the image on my page and it turns out that there is damage other than the house. Look below the nose and you can see bricks from the bar and broken boards beside the house door. Also, something's missing (big square black hole) from the loco nose.

Actually, if you look at the house, it has been badly damaged. The front yard (from what can be seen) is filled with wreckage, With the nose, the bulldog units where builtfor speed and stamina. A steel locomotive vs. a wood house? and there is a hole ripped in one of the corners. But still, gave me a great laught!-NHtrainHa! – image 13 Ha! – image 14

RE: Ha!

Reminds me of the incident up in Washington state a couple years ago. An Amtrak special carrying Seattle Seahawk fans hit a house that was being moved. The house was on the usual centipede type semi truck used for such projects and was in the process of crossing the tracks. A couple guys on top the house were using insulated poles to lift phone/electric wires out of the way of the over sized load at the time of impact, and they got the worst of it. As I recall, there were no deaths, and only a few other minor injuries to passengers/crew. Back at that time there were several pictures of both the demolished house and truck, and the lead AMTK engine with a pretty good bump on it's nose floating around. Plenty of collateral damage in that one.

From memory ther Railway Hotel is next door. Back in the 80's and 90's when they were scraping the B class they took the front part and put it in the building...to attract customers I suppose.
