Nov-15-01, 02:12 PM (EST) "Orient Express in America?" I just saw a train go by that was pulled by two Genisis Locomotives painted in the Acela paint scheme. They were pulling a long passenger consist that resembled the Orient Express and even had __________ Orient Express painted on the cars. I didn't see what was before the word Orient though. What was this train?BNSF Western Washington Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Nov-19-01, 03:17 PM (EST) 5. "RE: Orient Express in America?" I recieved their advertising brochure a while back. Basically it is a cruise on rails instead of on the ocean. Most days are spent in a city with tours, evenings and overnight on the train. Very luxurious, but no better than any cruise ship. Prices work out to between $300 and $400 per day per person, considerably higher than all but the most expensive cruises. Nice variety of routes, though, much of it over track that hasn't seen a passenger train in decades. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
