Er, since I've never dealt with FRA men on anything and don't know much about operations and rules, what's the problem? I read the referenced thread, but all I took out of it was a possible failure to test the brakes or the "unspecified" reasons. I assume that "testing the brakes" is something a little more complex than hooking the cars up to an engine and applying the brakes, but even then, that can't take too awful long, can it? It's got to be something reasonably serious to actually pull something that important from service, right?I vaguely know what a Talgo-style trainset has as its features, but beyond that, I'm in the dark as to what might be the real issue.
