it IS possible, it required advanced techniques but it IS possible...I could try and figure it out for you, if you want.BTW! here are some things ive made...(no i was not using a flash camera, that is the sunlight coming in the patio windows)The black GP-38 has been detailed with M.U. "hoses". I also have the Super Chief locomotive. I know the fuel tank should be rounded, but im working on that now.------------------------------------------------------------

RE: MOC: LEGO CLIMAX ! ! !

My wife and I recently visited Legoland, which is about an hour's drive from home. It is amazing to see what they've done down there with Lego blocks.About 1/4 of the park is known as "Miniland". In that area are re-creations of various cities around the USA including New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Washington; also a major port area, fishing villages. They have trains that run around the whole thing....there were some diesels that looked sort of like Dash 9's in green/black BN colors, blue/yellow ATSF colors...also a SW1500 that seemed to be intended to be in old black SCL colors. The San Francisco area has working cable cars. The Washington DC area had a working presidential motorcade, and lots of tour buses floating around that resembled real tour buses. The real kicker was the Metro-North M-1 train running under the New York City scene, with the cutaway of Grand Central Terminal's large hall!!

RE: MOC: LEGO CLIMAX ! ! !

I always wanted to visist Legoland. Sounds like you had fun!Gunman, I did manage to get a 4 axle truck to work. It probably wont be powered, but I could try. What I did was attach two axles with a 8x2stud long plate. Then I made another one. Then I connected them with an articulating piece. I also made a heavy duty DTTX flatcar. I had a Shcnable car made up, but it used almost ALL my axles, so I took it apart, but I kept the center peice together so I might be able to rebuild it for a picture.

Drop the buffers on that thing, THIS IS AMERICA!. And may i reccomend some nice white lights instead of those icky green ones. Now then...i took some more pictures of my stock today. You can see the details on the fron pilot, and it is made the same fore the rear, no european couplers here, well, except for the cars. Now, can anyone guess what road the white boxcar is supposed to be? this oughta be easy. Now then, if youre wondering what that steam engine is for...thats what the GP38 was made out of. The steam engine was scrapped (for a while) because it used too many wheelsets, and i needed the coal for something else. So, like the real railroads, i turned to full dieselization (I should also mention, the Geep now has a number, it is number 27, i used some extra stickers from the Super Chief loco.)------------------------------------------------------------

RE: MOC: LEGO CLIMAX ! ! !

I like the plows you've added....how did you manage to do that, or did you use different magnet holders? I wish I had more track and axles, but their fairly expensive in my opinoin. I haven't been buying much lego anymore becasue they've changed their peices. Used to have really nice lego sets, especially the semi trucks from the Town Series. Now, a new model Semi truck is made of about 3 peices. It sucks....Guess it's what you call modernization.

If I had a scanner, I would gladly show you my 3-truck Shay. It is NG and is about 40cm long, 12cm wide and 21cm tall, thus giving the opperunity to hyper detail it and to even make the pistons move! /JonatanSteam rules!Moc: Lego Climax ! ! ! – image 27

moving pistons? eeek! thats a challenge, yes even for moi. I work mostly with diesel engines, even though i "worship" steam locos, i cannot make one that actually looks realistic.Actually, i looked at some up close pictures of the new freight set, and they are ENTIRELY NEW buffer pieces o.o------------------------------------------------------------

RE: MOC: LEGO CLIMAX ! ! !

I went to the Illinois Railway Museum on the 24th (last Sunday) and There was a lego Model Train group there that had a layout set up that was entirely made from lego's They had the Statue Of Liberty set up the Empire State Building and a bunch of other stuff. This layout was about 40 foot by 40 foot square and EVERYTHING was made from legos. The track was lego's with rails built into it and the trains were all made of Lego's Except the trucks and wheels and the layout was large enough they had 3 or 4 consists running on it simultaneously with sidings and mainline crossovers and passing sidings and the works. I took a few pictures but have not developed the film yet, when I do I will post them.Nick

RE: MOC: LEGO CLIMAX ! ! !

They Were'nt lego trucks? They may not look like Lego's, but the ones that you are talking about most likely were manufactured by Lego. I could be wrong, i'll hafta wait to see you pics, and I can't wait to see em'!My creations...I made a heavy-duty flatcar, which runs VERRRY nice. I'll post a pic when I get back from the cottage.
