Oct-22-01, 03:16 PM (EST) "Processor usage" Does anybody know a fix for this:
Processor usage is always 30-90%, and when I move the mouse the usage drops(not much after I changed the mouse to USB).
I have checked it with System monitor, Winsystem98, TaskInfo and
CPUload. I have read from MS knowledge base that it's a bug in Win98, and 3rd party software shows correct usage. This didn't happen with Win95.Enocell Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

It's Windows' power manegment thing.
When you'r not moving mouse, Windows is trying to save power
or something, and that's why CPU usage is high,
and when you move the mouse Windows stops those calculations
for power manegmnet and CPU usage drops.
I think that's what it is. Samething happened on my WinME.
There is nothing wrong with you PC, and that thing doesnn't
affect perfomance.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's the answer.
