Oct-16-01, 09:02 PM (EST) "Common Scenery Files" Does anyone know of a utility that someone has come up with that will allow downloaded new routes to access from the six basic scenery libraries, Terrtex, Texture, and shapes? I have added about eight new routes and almost wipped out a 20gig hard drive. I noticed the MS routes altogether occupy about 1.25gigs of space. You start adding that to each route and before long you are out of space. If no one has a utility that would do this does anyone know how difficult it would be to write one.Gary Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

"RE: Common Scenery Files" yeah,, nice, BUT if KUJU had used the concept of the global folder correctly, you could have one folder containing ALL the objects, textures and other necessary files, that would be refernenced by any route.. That way a route folder would only have to contain files specific to itself. The otehr solution would be some way to have aliasing done in the .ref file. That would allow you to have one common folder and a common reference
file.. Thats what we need.. hmm.. time to experiment, and see if the .ref file can be aliased like a .eng file.. cheers
