Oct-14-01, 02:58 PM (EST) "GREAT Frame Rate Tool!!!!!" There is a GREAT Frame Rate Display tool at http://www.fraps.com/index.htm. It will display the Frame Rate in Train Sim. I found out though on my system (Win98) I have to start Train Sim first then ALT-TAB out and then run Frame Rate then ALT-TAB back to Train Sim. Train Sim won't load on my system with it loaded first. It works GREAT. Good size, can be transparent, and it's accurate. You can place it where you want. Please let me know if you find a way to load it first. Best regards to all, Bob. Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

There is no need for any third party tool, which will also consume some resources. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

but when you play on high resolution, font become SO small
that it really hard to read what it says.
I've been using this program for a while and I really like it.
Also, this program can give you FPS for every moment,
not like MSTS for every one second.

Oct-14-01, 07:26 PM (EST) 4. "RE: GREAT Frame Rate Tool!!!!!" I use shift-z and can read it just fine at 1024x768, so my question remains. Why would you want to use a third party tool that consumes resources, just to measure your frame rates? The concept sounds rather self defeating, since to be using such a utility your obviously concerned with performance. Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top

Oct-14-01, 07:01 PM (EST) 3. "RE: GREAT Frame Rate Tool!!!!!" Yes I know about Shift-Z. It's too small and the color is lousy at 1280x1024 for my eyes. This FRAPS will display the frame rate much larger and more readable, and allow you to place it where you want either transparent or opaque. <Bob> Remove | Alert Edit | Reply | Reply With Quote | Top
